Bio

Nadia Plancarte Huamantalla was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, on November 5th, 2000.
She began her cello studies in 2008 under the tutelage of Rolando Fernández. From 2015 to 2019 she was a student of Vitali Roumanov (first cellist of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México).
As a soloist, she has performed with the Orquesta de Cuerdas del Conservatorio de Música “José Guadalupe Velázquez” (2013), the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil Silvestre Revueltas (2016) and the Orquesta de Cuerdas de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (2017 and 2018).

Nadia has been part of the Orquesta Sinfónica Infantil y Juvenil de México (2014-2016), the Orquesta de Cuerdas de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la UAQ (2017-2019), and in the Orquesta Virtuoso, in Querétaro, Mexico, having the honor of accompanying Sara Ferrández under the baton of Toby Hoffman (2023).

As part of her musical training, Nadia has had the opportunity to take master classes with cellists such as Santiago Cañón Valencia, John- Henry Crawford, Marcio Carneiro, John Sharp, Roel Dieltiens, Valentin Radutiu, Denis Severin, Francisco Vila, Michael Dallinger, Eduardo Palao, José Gregorio Nieto and William Molina Cestari.

In 2019, she began her higher studies at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in Belgium, and in 2021 she received a generous scholarship offered by the Soroptimist International Club Antwerp.
In 2022, Nadia completed the Bachelor of Arts in Music program with a specialty in cello under the tutelage of Olsi Leka. The same year, she received one of the Santander Legacy 2022 scholarships to pursue her master’s degree, which she is currently studying at the same institution.

Deva Rossi started playing the piano at the age of 7 when she entered the “Scuola di Musica ed Arti Classiche” with Antonia Onofrio in her hometown Riva San Vitale (Southern Switzerland).
She attended the Musical High School in Como, Italy from September 2011 to June 2016, obtaining her European Baccalaureate. Meanwhile her musical studies continued at the Conservatoire in Lugano, Switzerland, with Nora Doallo.
Deva regularly performed as a soloist in Southern Switzerland and Italy.

In 2013 and 2014 she attended an international Masterclass in Vienna, Austria, with Susanna Spaemann. During this Masterclass, she met Japanese pianists Masahi Katayama and Mami Morimoto who invited her to Tokyo for an intensive Masterclass in September 2014. In the following years, 2015 and 2016, Deva participated in the Encore Music Projects International Summer School in Wells with John Byrne and Katya Apekisheva, also taking intensive private lessons with Olena Shvetsova and Richard May.

Deva joined the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) in September 2016, where she studied keyboard with Richard Ormrod and Michael Young. Highlights include performances in the Dora Stoutzker Hall in November 2017 and in October 2018.
She obtained her Bachelor of Music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in July 2020.

She is a student of Sergei Edelmann at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, where in July 2023 she finished her Master of Music in Solo Performance. She is currently furthering her musical education as a Postgraduate student at the same institution. During her studies, she has been focusing on chamber music and also accompanying singers, performing in various venues in Belgium, and on her wide range of solo repertoire.

The pianist is also an avid ballet pianist, currently working for the bachelor students at KCA, the Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen, the Prins Dries Ballet school and the Junior Ballet Antwerp.
